ABILITY COUNTS
Our Ability Counts sessions run on a Thursday evening providing inclusive and accessible football for anyone with a sensory, physical, or neurological impairment or disabilities, ranging from the age of 5 -15. Sessions are split into age/ability groups which focus more on individual development both on and off the pitch. ​
Our Under 14s compete in the Birmingham Ability Counts League once a month, a league they won in the 2023/24 season. An amazing achievement for the team! ​
Currently, the sessions are run as PAN Disability but we are looking to make this more impairment specific in several areas as we look forward.
We would encourage all to come long and get involved. We are also happy for family members to accompany they child on the pitch to help them settle in, or as a general aid.​​​​​​
Set Up
We currently have 3 groups in this section, but we are looking to add to this. Working on our player development model, we offer: FUNdamental Group - Working with 5-8s,
Learn to Train Group - Working with 8-11s
Training to Train Group - Working with 11-14s
Train to Compete Group - Working with 14-16s (in the pipeline)
On top of this we are in the process of building a Cerebral Palsy Section.

We are committed to fostering a love for the game, instilling values of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship, and creating a platform for players to learn, develop and showcase their abilities.
When?
Ability Counts Training - Every Thursday 5-6pm
As stated above, these are the training sessions for all the individual groups

Ability Counts Half Term Training - Usually Mondays and Tuesdays 3-5pm
Fun and friendly drop in sessions for anyone who attends the Thursday sessions
​
Match Days - Once a month - Sunday 9.30-11.30am
Matches played against other Ability Counts teams, played at Aston Villa Academy, Tame Road
